Question.

Why does a 'Home Inspector' need the NEC?

Unless you are doing a 'code' inspection.?

Do we really need to go there again Mike … icon_rolleyes.gif … as a guide for a safe installation, since it is a nationally recognized electrical safety standard of course …

For knowledge.

Don't want HIs who don't have a clue, do you?

Why would an electrician need a home repair book, or a book on plumbing, or roofing, or anything except electrical? For knowledge.

I 'just' want them to be careful.

"Don't want HIs who don't have a clue, do you?"

I want every state to 'allow' them to make these calls.

As with rules (licensing) comes credibility.

The book is for anyone who wants to increase knowledge. Home Inspector, electrician, etc. The price is nearly half of retail right now.

True, but the Code gets revised next year.
