S-trap(s) were found to be installed in the drain(s) of the kitchen sink. Water filling the downstream vertical portion of the S-trap will cause siphoning & loss of trap seals that should be maintained to prevent sewer gases & vermin from entering the home. It is recommended to have a P-trap installed by a licensed plumber.
