Advice on finding good CPA

as it’s tax time, i’m looking for tips on finding a good cpa.

is there anything one needs to look out for when doing so?

when do you know your getting gouged on price?

any tips would be great.

Same as I would recommend my clients do to find a professional:

(1) Ask family
(2) Ask friends
(3) Ask neighbors

(4) Call up their recommendations (at least three), interview them, and decide for yourself whether to use them or not.

Ask friends of yours in similiar tax situations…ie self employed with similiar setups…meaning LLC etc.

A cpa that is good w/ 2 income families w/ jobs may not be as good with folks that are selfemployed etc.
