I never “guess” at anything. If the data tag is missing that is what I put in the report. “Unable to determine exact age, data tag is missing” Then report what you see and if the unit is working as advertised or not.

I agree with doug if there is no label plate just state it in your report.

Thats exactly what I did. However, the new owner wanted an estimate on the age of the unit.
