Age of Water Heater

Can anyone tell me how to tell the age of a Champion water heater with a Serial # of KC1406696.
It must be an older model as the newer ones use the first four digits to determine age, and this one is certainly older than 2014.
I cannot find anything at all on line regarding this type of serial number.
