Would anyone with an electrical background like an all expenses paid trip to Colorado?

I'm looking for someone to help me with a project: I want to build an electric service panel full of defects/problems/code violations/issues. The inside panel cover will contain a PIC of the panel with each problem numbered and a key on the other side explaining what the problem is.

I was hoping someone would be willing to come out to Colorado for a couple days, head to the electrical supply and build a prototype with me. All expenses paid.

Then I will hire someone to manufacture dozens of them including the PIC (blown up to the panel door's size), the key, and a wooden shipping crate for each.

My desire is to make one for every NACHI Chapter and ship it to them for the purpose of having a self-educating display.

Let me know if you are interested by posting here.

As an added incentive I will disclose that I eat well, and when you come I will make sure you and I are well fed ![icon_biggrin.gif](upload://iKNGSw3qcRIEmXySa8gItY6Gczg.gif) .

New panels have different issues than 20-30 yr old ones --- I see more old ones.

Yes, but it is hard to mass produce a display of OLD panels when most are being upgraded to new and the supply of old panels is quite rare as throw aways.

I would venture to think the main issues NICK would like to address as the normal everyday things like, open knock outs, double lugging, improper connectors, improper bonding and grounding, wrongly done GFCI and AFCI breakers and the like.

However your point is a extremly valid one so to come with the displays would be suggested to have some NICE old panels to screw up as well which are photographed in high def. and able to send with each panel to each chapter to hang with the demo panel....kinda the next best thing.

I am sure doing a little checking with some well established oldschool electrical contractors in his area can turn up some nice older panels to screw up and wire incorrectly for some nice photos...blow them UP and you have the next best thing.

Nick,

I guess you have someone by now to come out. Let me know if you still need someone. I am interested also in building all of final units including the shipping crates.

I would be willing to advise if any info I could provide would help. A panel may help for training but is only one link in the chain. If I can assist please call
