Anyone created a Home Inspectors Electrical Check List

Joe, Thanks for links about wire. I will put them in my library for future reference.

Ditto, thanks again Joe for all of your info

Joe

My pleasure, however, my first link is the actual source for the link that was first added above, and the second link is an additional checklist from the same location.

I always try to give credit to the site’s author when this type of information is provided. I saw where the HVAC instead of HACR was used were it pertained to receptacles on GFCI near equipment such as HACR. Ventilation exhaust type fans seem to be ignored?

PS: Seems that there are many items that can be added to checklists as we discuss various safety issues, such as floor outlets without a proper box and relief valves on electric water heaters.

Here’s some humor from one of my colleagues.

In my opinion one of the best “checklists” available for residential electrical systems, as well as other areas, is available as part of the CodeCheck series. They are also industry accepted references for home inspectors.

Have anyone used the NACHI Spectroscope yet? How we take the picture of the roof with the camra mounted on the top of the spectroscope? What other devices we need in order to see the roof from the ground and take picture? …

Thanks

They have both indoor and outdoor lists.

I like to leave these brochures with the clients.
