Just curious what normal archieve method people use? At present, I am keeping a copy of the inspection report on my computer, and a paper copy in a folder. Is that pretty standard?

Hi Dave,

I guess you can print out all those reports when you have a ink business.

I save all of mine on a cd with the report and pictures. I also make one for the buyer and their agent. I have found that this saves a lot of calls for a copy of this or that from the agent when they get close to closing.

Dave,

We save reports and photos to CD. Rarely any report related paper records are kept except for inspection agreements and copies of lab reports - and even those are scanned and copied to CD.

Dave,

I keep a paper copy of everything in a folder. I don't save it to my computer or a cd, I consider it a good waste of space and cd's.

We keep a hard copy of the inspection agreement SIGNED in a file and the report on disk in same file. In Illinois we are required to keep all reports.

If you are only keeping an electronic copy, make sure you also keep a backup electronic copy.

Personally, I keep a paper copy of the agreement and report, and an electronic copy, with backup, of the report and photos.

Just can't bring myself to keep a printed copy of the pictures.

Ink is an issue for me.
