You should both remember that different parts of the country are busy at different times of the year. While those in the north are snowed under from November to May, we are slammed busy in Paradise. Conversely, we enjoy a slower period to go to the beach, go fishing, enjoy life and spend time on the BB. People spending time on the NACHI bb shouldn’t be criticized, it’s just something many enjoy.

has 5 min to make a post or 2 same as they just did. That’s how it works. You take 5 min here and there, and it all adds up. Nobody’s working 24/7. This is what some guys do for relaxation, and like Jae says, you learn while you’re at it. How can you beat that?

I am curious - how so many find time to converse for so long on this message board. You guys are busy working are you not?
I'm busy but not too busy to miss some great ideas on the board. The marketing ideas have helped me save money and time. The help on certain issues with inspections do the same. I know there is some idle chatter but that's part of the whole learning and sharing experience.
I make time to enjoy the experience.
All of you that come in and share and help THANK YOU! From electrical experts to marketing geniuses THANK YOU.
I started reading the board before even doing my first inspection.
I can tell you that I'm a better inspector because of this board. I have learned something everyday.

My opinion…The boards are a MUST…heck, if I were someone important in NACHI I would make it COMPULSORY to visit at least once a day. Failing which the offender (is that how you spell it?) would be fined to writing a 5 page article on some inspection related issue.
... Question... Is opinion like mold?...does it grow on you?

Well said Rick!
I learn from this board everyday. Just as Mr Anderson does, I have several systems in operation all the time. The board is usually running somewhere in the background whenever I am in my office and at my desk.
Also, with a new baby at home (as opposed to an old baby I guess) I am up at various times, and cant go back to sleep.
In the end, I am no where near as busy as I need and want to be. So where better to learn what to do, and how to build my book of business then among the best in the world!
Just my .o2

Calm down you guys. Where is your sense of humor? I knew I would get a reaction out of that, but I didn’t think anyone would be so offended. Happy inspecting.

This is like a place to learn for me. It is like going to school every day. Plus you get to know everyone who posts on here. We may never meet them but you get to know them by their posting. You guys are like friends at work I just cannot see you. Before I joined NACHI I watched thiis board and was so damn impressed by the knowledge that you guys have. I knew this was home.

Alrighty then Bruce. I don’t know about anybody else, but I really wasn’t “offended” either. I just made an off-the-cuff remark because I didn’t see the on your face.

Just curious… how can a home inspector be booked till mid Sept? Are there that many homebuyers you know who have called saying they are going to be buying a home in 1 to 2 months and they want to make an appt with you. If that is the case, what is your secret?
