Sometime late spring or early summer I ordered the “2005 Home Inspection Business Operations Study” conducted by ASHI. I think the cost was around $45 or so. Apparently the study took longer than ASHI expected and getting the data compiled must have been a task as well. Anyway, I finally received my copy today and must admit that it does have a lot of good statistical information in it that allows me to compare how & what my business is doing versus about 2,500 others across the U.S. It will provide a baseline for many aspects of a HI business and allow me to set some realistic, aggressive goals and expectations.
