Baseboard moisture level at a spot in basement

The following is a quote on an inspection report for a Tri level home built in 1975.
“An elevated moisture level was noted in the furnace room at the baseboard. A moisture meter indicated a moisture level of approximately 18% in the baseboard near the watershutoff velve. Previous leakage from a humidifer was noted, but no moisture was visible at time of inspection.”
The furnace room is located along the inside wall, is finished, there were no other notes about moisture and the spot is located about 12" from the floor drain.
What, if anything should be assumed about this statement?

Ask the person that wrote it.

It may be just an FYI and monitor situation.

Sounds like a condensation issue.

As Larry posted, ALWAYS call your inspector FIRST!

He/She was there, we weren’t.
