Basement Insulation

Would any of you have a problem with a basement being renovated (some time ago) and when the renovations were made, they left the insulation in the ceiling along with the paper vapor barrier. The ceiling is finished with a drop ceiling.

When the renovations were made, they added heat to the basement so now both spaces are conditioned.

Thanks,

Don’t see a problem with it unless theer is a water spill upstairs.

If the basement heat is always going to be “ON”, then I’d inform my clients that the insulation can be removed in order for heat to rise upstairs. Why waste it? Share it.
