What is the best way to vent the bathroom fans? Through the soffit vents? Or the ridge vent? Or through the roof? Venting through the soffits, the air coming in would prevent venting?

To the outside each bathroom or kitchen should have its own vent to the outside . Through the wall or the roof depending on building.
Two fans with one vent and the air just goes around in a circle inside the home .

I like keeping them low, blowing the insulation on top of the run and venting them out the gable if possible. Up here in the cold country it keeps the moist vapor from condensing in the vent and running back down to the fan.
