Anyone have a clue why all of the exposed copper wiring including the ground would have a black soot on the exposed portions. There does not seem to be any signs of overheating but they are all covered in this soot.
How old was the house?
Chinese drywall or sulfur water???
Imported Chineese drywall, had problems between 2001 and about 2009 (I think). In our construction boom, we imported a lot, there was a bad hurricane (Bob?, Andrew?) in the early 2000’s that called for loads of it in Flroida too.
It emited sulfur that will cause these kinds of symptoms, and “rotton egg smell”?
