Quick Question - I am inspecting a boiler today which has been drained. I am responsible for filling and re-draining the boiler? Any tips around the boiler inspection?
In my opinion, that would be way outside SOP. And I wouldn’t do it unless you know exactly what you are working with.

Thanks. I was leaning toward, no, but wanted to be sure. I will recommend an evaluation of the unit and complete testing.

Daniel there is an awful lot that can go wrong during a boiler start up. There is a start up sequence. It is possible a component of the system is not operational and you’ll likely get blamed for it as you do your own start up.
A professional will inspect the system before start up.

This one is simple. Home inspectors do not fill boilers…period.
