Bonding

IMO it is caring about what you are doing. It really does not take that much more time to do a nice job than it does to do a so-so job.

Many years ago, about 1977, no exactly 30 years ago, I wired my house that I built, all alone. Yes, I even wired the electric service panel, nice and neat, very cleanly done. When I had the inspector check everything out, he said that I had bent most of the wires going to the circuit breakers with too sharp a radius. I had bent the wires around a one inch diameter dowell. Well, he didn’t like that, saying that too sharp a bend is bad for the insulation, but he would not make me re-wire the panel. Could he do that, make me re-wire the panel?

Not according to the NEC. Cables have a minimum bend radius, but conductors do not.

Thanks, Marc!
I didn’t think he was right, but sometimes you never know. Thanks for your reply. I liked the job I did, and I know his eyes lit up when he first saw it.

Marc’s image is VERY neat…but they need to re-identify those “White” conductors on the breakers…

But…very neat “Remote Distribution Panel” in a metal stud installation

“Stray Current” is a nonsense term generally applied when a more correct term should have been more properly used. Akin to a person calling a part a “thing-a-ma-jig”, when he doesn’t know the real name.

When I think about stray current I think about the current that is leaking from an underground conductor or those emitted from radio signals.

Then you’d be more properly thinking of an earth fault and RFI.
