After a long hard day of electrical inspections. . . icon_wink.gif (just kidding sparkies), I’ve got a question.

If the breaker isn't marked, is there any other way to determine its capacity?

As for the ITE it may very well be the same thing beings that the mfr chose to put its insignia where most would look for the ampere rating... Sometimes you just gotta look REALLY close to even find the remnants of a stamping or something close.... If the overcurrent device has no legible ampere rating, even if its insides are brand new, it's a code violation. 2002NEC 240.83(A)... (yeah yeah, I know, you guys dont get into that stuff... but just food for thought =)
