It actually is good. I did not join InterNACHI until 2008. From 2002 to 2008, I was not a member of any association, and averaged 428 inspections per year.
Since 2008, joining InterNACHI and becoming a CMI, my inspections per year has averaged 188. Sure, the economy has much to do with it, but now that I have since advertised being both, RE agents now think that I will write too detailed reports, and no longer suggest my services.
It is sad that they have it all wrong. Perhaps I should stop advertising being a member of anything and see what happens.
