California arbitration

Is there a change in California arbitration rules or law that make arbitration more expensive? I heard a rumor.

Happy TG. I am waiting for dinner to cook.

I’ll ask my dad at lunch today and get back to you (has his own firm) later today. You are just referring to general arbitrations, correct?

I’ve been involved in dozens of arbitration and mediation hearings. There’s a large firm located in Orange on State College near Angel Stadium where they all seem to happen. The arbitrators always end up being retired judges and or attorneys with years and years of experience. I’ve never heard of their fees and or the process costing anything strange or unusual compared to the rest of the country.
