Could it be two booster fans in the duct work(one in each duct)? I cant see the left connections very well, are there wires going into it?

There are booster fans installed on the heater; however, these wires go directly up the insulation of the flexduct and run up inside it.

Could they then be for Zone control dampers? Without seeing the system it’s just a guessing game.

And it's fun too.

My guess would be that they are for line-voltage thermostats that sense the duct temperature and “tell” the booster fans when it’s most efficient for them to come on.

I installed (read jerry-rigged) a similar thermostat this year in my TV hole-in-the-wall to aid in cooling the space. The one I ended up with was designed mainly for the duct-work booster fan application.

OK

Industry experts, and industry leaders what is the conlusion

1 It is not visual say nothing (some of it is)
2 Call the professional who installed it
3. Call another professional
3 Say nothing
4 Do further checking because it might be a safety issue that you have publicly documated on the web and not reported
5 Look like a assss to the client for not knowing

7 (you had two 5s)…As all we know for a fact is that we have bad splices…Report it as in need of repair and investigation by a licensed electrician.

Guessing here is fun, but not in my job description.

I did write it up in need of repair of course; however, my biggest concern is that these wires, if you look very closely, go inside the insation of the duct work and for as far as I could see were stripped from the wire insulation and ran directly aongside the metal of the insulated duct; this could become hot.
