A former client called me today with a question concerning a new patio slab they had poured that they weren’t happy with. Among other cosmetic issues, she said that people had told her that the concrete was poured way too high against the house (she said 4" above the footing). Is there a requirement for the concrete to be below the wall line (weep screed)? I would think that it would be at least 4".
