Can you guess what a Los Angeles building inspector invented in 1948?

His Dad invented something “round” as well.

What is a Frisbee

According to my Google, it was the Frisbee…but, I think there is a second answer.

According to some historians, on June 12, 1948, Los Angeles building inspector Elmo P. Freen had just inspected the Hollywood home of actor, George Reeve, who would star as Superman on a television series then under development. Mr. Reeve insisted that, before he move into the home, that it be tested for any remnants of kryptonite - a substance known to be harmful to certain superheroes.

Mr. Freen developed a cannister designed to collect kryptonite samples for readings at a lab that, today, is still in use for detecting radon.
