Canada or Cold Weather Hunters

Hello,

I just returned from Gypsumville, Manitoba. I think this is the Biggest I have ever shot  Have any of you ever tried to use infrared cameras to find downed birds? I have seen products designed for larger game and in 0+ F I do not know how long you would have to to find a heat signature or something. Missing brining my dog do to tons of regulations and fees :frowning: Enjoy the pictures below and let me know if you ever hunt in the gypsumville / ashern area. We may be picking up shop and heading to Dakota. Anyone have any thoughts on Bird hunting there? I have never been there. Sorry I do not know how to make the pictures smaller.

They are so glad to see you helping to keep the Geese of their fields .

That is about all that was ever asked of me as well. We are sort of the communities cousins from down South and are treated well. Major flooding around 2008 and my Dads death has kept me away for about 9 years but I finally made it back. Even though the Hotel we used to stay at burned down. The wonderful lady who has allowed us to keep stuff in a trailer on her land has taken care of us my last visit with my dad and this visit as well but she is only going to do it for 2 more years. We may be heading to South Dakota as things just are not the same anymore with so many dead and moved away but we will be back at least one more time and i hope to take my Daughter  I am going to find a picture of the sweet lady and a giant zucchini

I cannot find that picture but here is a favorite:

Church Supper 2016 for Canadian Thanksgiving at the local hall. Been 9 years I sure missed all that goodness. Sad thing is only about 1/2 the people are left around the community and only 1/2 of the people that used to be there were still there. and enven 1/4 less food but still darn good.
