Carbon Monoxide / Gas Furnace

York Gas (Natural) Furnace circa 1989.

Hey you just exceeded the SOP  and saved someones life Makes you feel good don’t it.

Great Job keep up the good work:D

Joe you are not supposed to blow out the pilot to check the vent you know.

Good catch.

Surely that level is just over marginal, and would in most circumstances fall short of setting off a CO detector? - which makes me worry about my own CO alarms.

I agree it is not normal for a vented appliance though, and it certainly needs a service. It might be a potential health hazard to small children, elderly people and persons suffering from respiratory or heart problems.

Same Co meter I used … until it was stolen, I just picked up a Monoxor III

Nice catch Joe!
