I’m not big on laws but I think this is a good one. Just this week I inspected a new home built by Beazer and there were combination detectors outside of every bedroom, that is their standard. This is the clause I use in every home inspection where gas is burned… Homes serviced by natural gas should have at least one combination smoke/carbon monoxide detector adjacent to sleeping areas.
