China stopped buying food and energy from the U.S. today

$25 billion in just soybeans and corn alone. That buyer has now gone elsewhere.

Again, the U.S. isn’t special because we consume. Any idiot can consume.

Thanks to the stupid Trump tariffs, not only do the Farmers lose that business, most likely to Brazil and very possibly for good, but now tariff man will expect the US taxpayer to once again bail out the Farmers for his continued economic debacles.

Trump = lose lose.

Stories like this will continue to come out as Trump yells how good of a job he’s doing and directs his minions not to believe what they see and hear in the media.

US Not A Good Investment Due To Trump Tariffs, Analysts Say

The U.S. is quickly losing its appeal as a reliable investment destination, with analysts pointing to hefty new tariffs and unpredictable trade policy imposed under President Trump as key reasons for growing uncertainty. President Trump states that the new tariffs are intended to stimulate domestic manufacturing, however, experts predict that consumers are likely to face rising costs and supply chain disruptions as businesses no longer consider the U.S. to be a reliable trade ally.

I love Trump, but I’ve said from the beginning, there is no upside to tariffs. Our children aren’t going to put down their iPhones and work 12 hours straight at a factory in Ohio like the Chinese are able to do. We don’t have the factories and we don’t have anyone to work them. China is great at making us stuff at a reasonable price. And lately, the quality is really good. Let them do their thing. If you can buy something for less than you can make it… buy it.

Why do you pay some 14 year old to cut your grass? Because he does it cheaper than you can do it yourself. Your time and energy is best spent elsewhere. Same thing.

Drive though the Jewish neighborhood I used to live in. See any Jews under their cars changing oil? Of course not. They let people who do that, do that. There is no shame in this.

And the reverse is true. Let farmers (like me) make soybeans and corn for the Chinese. We’re good at it.

Is that not what you have been advocating for in other threads? Why manufacture when you can be an idiot?

I think it is consistent with my other posts. We don’t have any leverage in negotiations simply because we consume. Any idiot can consume. And if China is goofy enough to sell us their hard goods made with limited resources and human labor… buy it all. Hurry, before they figure it out.

I think our consumption is our leverage. We are 25% of their GDP. And of course, they need/want other things we do produce, such as our planes.

They have their own in-house consumers (billions of them). They don’t need us. And today they began buying food from Brazil.

Another product of China approved western media.

Interesting their economy can take a 25% hit without a blink. They’ll just turn hit the consumer button and all the things they sell to us will magically be sold at home. No need to negotiate with the US.

And India is buying the planes slated for China. Of course, other markets will be exploited. This doesn’t mean we cannot strengthen our position or China will not negotiate.

So we now have lots of extra soybeans and corn. Well now looks like RFK Jr. can be happy when we start making lots of soyburgers instead of red meat. After all that can Make America Healthy Again (MAHA). As for the corn that makes lots of corn tortillas, corn bread, extra feed for livestock which can reduce their price, and even ethanol if they want.

DAMN that sounds like a real Winner Winner Big Fat Healthy Dinner!

They also lose the USAID purchases. Yes, those were with our tax dollars, but nonetheless, it is a double whammy for farmers.

Actually, wouldn’t surprise me is he goes after Soy as it is a major allergy issue for many people! Soy is used in more products than most people know. I know a few people that have breathing issues just by walking into a homes and stores that uses and/or sells these products, such as candles, Febreeze, etc, not to mention all the food stuffs it is mixed in with!!

Nick, if you do not consume nourishment you die.
Trump added 8 trillion to your national debt mostly to help the .1 percent. Think about that. Let it sink in.
Just like last time your commander and chief was in power. Trillions was given to farmers and multinational corporations with their hands out grabbing millions upon millions before pour working farmers, the real bread belt earners.
They voted for the idiot again???
Its the same song and the same dance Trump plays except this time he will get what he’s looking for by crossing the line. Last time felon. This time shown for what he is.

Soy is also a female hormone.

I’ve been reading this quite a bit lately in the last few days.

It’s not like this very topic wasn’t discussed no more than just a few weeks before the election.

Yes, but overall he’s done so much good. He’s by far the best president in my lifetime, even though he doesn’t understand tariffs.

Apparently he isn’t alone. “What is a tariff” was the highest trending search phrase the day after the election. You would think that they would have asked the question before the election, but his supporters let their emotional attachment to him lead their decisions.

For the first 150 years in this country, no American wondered what a tariff was. They all knew tariffs for what they are… taxes on us.
