Code of Ethics Course- section 4 Essay

There are many hypothetical situations that would be a conflict of interest or a code of ethics violation. One instance that is a hypothetical code of ethics violation would be if an inspector raised their price of the inspection because of someone’s race, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, sexual orientation, or handicap. A hypothetical situation for this is that an inspector gets to the inspection and sees two males holding hands and showing affection towards one another. The inspector does not agree with same sex couples. The inspector is thinking to himself and decides that he doesn’t want to be here with a same sex couple and wants to make it a better situation for themselves; therefore s/he decides to raise their price for this inspection from $400 to $600. Discrimination of someone’s sexual orientation is a huge violation of the code of ethics.
