Anyone out there do commercial and residential. What kind of licensing is needed for commercial inspection?

I do. No specific licnesing or certification needed. It does not come under the authority of the state HI law.

But it is good to have sme electrical experience. Those 480 volt panels can be somewhat intimidating.

I have done 3, 2 churches, (well, a synogiouge, really) and a warehouse to be used by a metal working shop.

Hope this helps. You need any advice, call me.

souksana,

I do both residential and commercial and am certified to do both. I have been doing residential/commercial for over sixteen years.
If you do not have any experience inspecting commercial buildings or specialized systems, I highly recommend that you obtain some training/certification prior to taking on a commercial property. While the money (fees) sound good, the liability can be great if you miss something.

Regards,
