Before I was born.
Why is the date important? Dates on insulation codes would seem to be irrelevant to any of my home inspections. It?s all about today?s standards.

Try ICC online, “International Code Council”. They have an
excellent historical code library. I use them for reference involving
expert witness and or construction defect litigation. In California,
1978 Title 24 Energy Codes address those issues. The presence and
or lack of insulation helps me draw conclusions about non-permitted
room additions and or alterations. Good Question, Good Luck!
