That’s a very nice logo. Clean, crisp and graphic.

Good job!

Hi John,

my thoughts are these, I like the overall design, but when you get down to printing it at a real size for letter heads and business cards I think that you are going to find that the house looks too busy you may want to stylize it a bit to loose some detail, also I would make the edges of the house line up with the outer edges of the word "Stone"

Just my 2 pence worth

Regards

Gerry

John,

Like Gerry I do like the overall design of the logo. I do think that it is a bit busy. Logos are really supposed to be simple and not to much to look at.

With such a great last name I would venture to say with a little more thought a much better logo could be accomplished.

Gerry and Gary make a good point. This logo would be great for the Web Site, but busy on your printed billing, letterheads, reports, business cards, etc.

Hi John

I like your design, but with such a great name as Stone, you should implement some ‘stones’ in there even if it were just under the house as a walkway or foundation. People’s minds will automatically put the two together and it will help make your company easy to remember. Simplify the house and yes make the words property inspections a bit bigger. I really like the way you did the house in reverse.

Stone is a nice strong name. Use it to your advantage. icon_smile.gif

Thanks for all the opinions about my logo design. I really appreciate it.

I have a new design put together. More upscale without the "house". Let me know what you think of this direction.

Hi John…so what I see is a black box on top of your lettering. I will look and see what type of stones I have to work with and email you. If that is ok?

Maybe if you reversed colors it would come out better.

I always have this problem with people on PCs. I am on a Mac and it seems that PC monitors always have darker settings than most Mac monitors.

The black box actually has a stylized column in a dark gray so that it shows up but without too much contrast. I will try to lighten it up so that you can see it better.

Hopefully this version will show up better.

With a name like stone…I’m picturing two white marble columns on either side of an archway with the words STONE over the archway in raised lettering.

Thanks for the continuing advice guys.

Cheryl, I really appreciate your effort to help out by doing those designs.

I guess I need to figure out which one to go with and stick with the decision.
