I say stop being a cheapo, replace it with a new energy efficient model and save my children some natural resources for when they grow old.

I think the sellers had become emotionally attached to it, as had all the children who had visited them over they years. They were the original owners of the house, having had it built in 1938. He was 96, his wife 86. Met six generations of family at the inspection.
