The door is open?

Beyond that nothing in the picture jumps out at me.

A bit crowded in the upper right conduit, but I don’t see much else. . .

Copper to aluminum splice?

Conduit filled with too many current carrying conductors?

Improperly teminated black wire in the upper right corner.

White wire in top center enters box without bushing or strain relief clamp.

Fairly simplistic issues.

Why do you ask???"

The cloth covered wire predates any aluminum conductors that I am aware of.

I don't see the missing bushing.

Looks like it may be a reflection.

Bingo,

That was the defect that was the most disturbing. There was an extension chord connected to the, now get this, the air conditioner.

All I see is the wires are very crowdy.

Hey Bob,

I agree it looks like SJ cord as well....by evidence of the rounding paper which is tails inside the SJ or SO style cord.

Beyond that.....another case of a CRAPPY electrician who wired that puppy as it is messy..with a capital M.

Since it is so crowded inside that panel I can bet their is no chance of air space to keep the conductors cool...lol...can you say RAT NEST...

Side Note.......I bet 3 in 10 panels I look at have some kinda of SO or SJ cord in them........dang dont they know you can buy a 25' roll of NM at the major supply stores...lol
