Inspected a rural property and when doing the walk around of the structure discovered a set of covered lines entering the ground. My first thought was someome has stolen the outside condensing unit???
When I entered the attic it was to my surprise a ground source heat pump
setting on a nice little platform. The twist is that this unit had a secondary set of copper lines tied to an standard electrical water heater with a circulating pump that was controled thru the thermostat. These copper lines were connected to the drain line at the bottom of the tank.
Each room had base board electric heat. Point being Okla. Ice storms and no electric still equals no heat
