Hi to all,

Nick and Ira,

I don't see an issue with this as long a they have a technical speaker, but I would be a lot happier if this was a two way street with other orgs doing the same.

Regards

Gerry

I am not in this camp and I'll explain my thinking:

First of all, it is silly. Sometimes different associations have the VERY SAME technical speaker! Does the technical speaker present his/her information any better at one meeting vs. another? Of course not.

Secondly, and hypothetically, had the technical speaker been speaking at his own meeting, rather than one hosted by an association, we would certainly accept it for continuing education. Do we not accept it just because it is being hosted by another association? Of course not.

Thirdly, who is it we're punishing by not accepting it? Answer... our own member.

Fourthly, if we ever want any type of continuing education reciprocity between associations its going to have to start with good will on the part of NACHI. Once again, we will have to go first... let's go.

I agree with Gerry.

Education related to your business should be encouraged in all areas.

Basing validity determinations on Association Affiliation is counterproductive.

Hi to all,

I agree good education is what matters, not who has provided it, chapter meetings of any association are good learning experience period.

I would hope that our feelings on this would be mirrored in the other orgs
