How many of you ladies and gentlemen accept credit cards for services rendored?

I am starting up soon and would like to find out the preferential payment method of the customer and if accepting Cred. Cards would be a big deal at this time!

I was setting up my business account at the bank and the banker asked me if I wanted to set up CC for my business…that’s not a half bad idea…costs a little money, but some are cash poor when they buy a home and don’t get it inspected because they put every penny into their downpayment.

John, I use paypal, they are the same price (if not cheaper) than most credit card processing companies and I have never had any problems with them.

Most of my local inspections are cash or check. Credit cards are useful for inspections done for out of town clients. I take the card number over the phone and then there are no hassles with billing.

You can apply right thru quick books and keeps everything simple

I have a ton of out of town clients so I do not have the option of not taking them

Plus it could set you apart from the compition

Thanks to everyone who responded to my question. Think I’ll go cash and check for the first year (if I make it that long icon_redface.gif) then crank out the “knucklebuster”!

I forget who mentioned the paypal but, I am pretty much familiar with them and would be considering them as soon as I get a website going!

Thanks All!

. (They buy homes too, right?). Consequently, we’ll be re-tooling our marketing plan to target these folks specifically, and as we clearly have the marketing lead over the rest of you inspectors for this hot pool of prospects, we expect to dominate that market segment in our area(s) of operations, shortly.

You filled out some sort of application online!

I agree that is amazing - We must have received 50 calls from every merchant service in the country.

It will end after a few months - or I should say atleast ours did

**DO not fill out online applications for merchant services you will get killed via phone, They must sell you name to millions of people in the industry
