The ground rod…
Sometimes it seems that the helper gets confused and uses a saw instead of a hammer to drive that 8 foot rod into the ground. Sometimes they just rust off.
If you don’t “tug the rod”, you’ll never know. I was third to inspect this house. This defect didn’t make it onto either of the other two reports.
I give the clamp a tug for looseness. But after seeing that, I will start tugging on the whole thing if it’s been there awhile, thanks.
Definitely, we have a lot of older homes here that those rods have been in the ground for a while. Nice catch Chuck!
I yank on it from time to time.
Sometimes I get the wife to do it for me.
