A stormchaser investigated my roof for hail damage and suggested I make a claim. Later, an insurance appraiser reviewed my roof and said someone had coined it. I’m afraid it was the stormchaser. Can coining cause permanent damage to the shingles? What type of recourse do I have? To whom should the stormchaser be reported?
Coining IS permanent damage.
Why was a ‘stormchaser’ examining your roof in the first place?
I would notify the insurance company. After all they are the ones being liable for replacement.
