Paul, I am second guessing myself about carpooling with you to Kingston, why don't we meet in a "neutral" location.
Actually the two smaller dogs ran off last year. Spent over $1,000 in newspaper ads and drove around the countryside for about a month and never seen them since.

I almost called the humane society on today’s inspection. Absentee property owner’s dog was chained within about 3’ of a sorry excuse for a dog house in the front yard-- and with the fallout from Frances of the past couple days, too. Sweet-looking dog-- quit barking at me after I was there an hour or so. I really wanted to pet him and make him feel loved, but common sense prevailed. Guess I’m just too soft-hearted to be a home inspector.
For the sake of discussion, how would you handle a situation like that?
Here's Eddie (or Edward, when he's in trouble...) my noble beast.

The first time I was at home finishing the report. The second time I called during the inspection from my cell. Never heard a word from the owners either time. I did not inform the client.

Here’s our latest. This is what she looked like the day we adopted her from the agency. She’s about a year old in the photo. Great with the kids. Someone threw her away. Purebread Cocker Spaniel

This is a picture of our beloved Bingo. We rescued him from the AC Humane Society, where he landed after being rescued from a kill shelter in West Virginia. When we first got him, he was an abused and frightened little dog. Through it all, he had a heart of gold. Unfortunately for this little man, he escaped our fenced-in yard, and was struck and killed by a speeding car in front of our home. He was a sweetheart. We really miss him. If he got in your face, and saw you smile, he'd smile back! Really! He would curl his lips up when he was happy. Really funny...

After seeing this thread, my wife insisted that I posted a picture of Yugo. I agreed to do so against my better judgement. If he notices his picture in a thread titled “Dogs,” he will be quite insulted.
