Some insurance companies provide coverage specifically for the operation of quadcopters. However, the cost of premiums may depend on the owner’s training and expertise in the operation of quadcopters, as well as the use to which it is put.
The bottom line: having fun with this hobby can come at a cost, a cost for which you should be prepared.*
For me it sounds tempting. I have at least 10 years experience flying RC helicopters, not the quads or hex’s but the real RC heli’s. These are WAY harder to fly then the quads so I would have no problem flying. With all the regulations and insurance I’m not sure I would want to venture into this, at least at this point.
