Care for the Homeless of New York City is a non-profit agency that operates a 200-bed shelter for homeless women who are medically frail of mentally ill. We have two laundry rooms in the shelter to launder the resident’s clothes. The larger of the two has six commercial washers and seven commercial dryers.
We’ve been told the venting/duct system for the dryers is inadequate and is a hazardous situation. I’ve gone online looking for contractors experienced/certified in dryer duct installation and contacted several. Only one responded with an inspection and estimate. I need two more proposals/estimates.
