I myself with a few others feel that we need some way to E-mail everyone when it come to OH say the calendar Idea or a note saying we would like your opinion on XXX matter or what ever we feel that everyone should be informed on. A good starting point might be the 2005 NACHI CONVENTION. There are a lot of members out there and it seems they do not use this board very much and I feel it would be a way to kind of invite them in and join in, maybe that is all they need to get hooked on this and start speaking up and helping out. If anyone else would agree please ad your two cents worth please.

And for those of you that disagree, start your own dam thread ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif) ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif)
just kidding, feel free to take your best shot.

Only 1 persons opinion and subject to change, maybe.

The announcement email for the convention has already been given to Chris, the webmaster, for mass distribution.

..... and that's just the beginning. ![icon_wink.gif](upload://ssT9V5t45yjlgXqiFRXL04eXtqw.gif)

Patrick & James,

I didn't know this existed. Must only be known by a select few. Are we hiding things, now. How does one submit a release for mass e-mail. Who approves/disapproves what can or can not be released. Fill us in.

Thanks,

John

Basically anything that makes it to http://www.nachi.org/events.htm also gets emailed to members.

I maintain the http://www.nachi.org/events.htm page so if you have something going on, let me know. Normally I won't post anything until all the ducks are in line: Room booked, speakers confirmed, websites, map, etc.

Also read http://www.nachi.org/form.htm

Nick

P.S. We have to email members sparingly. Otherwise some grow weak relying on us to email notification for everything. We want members to periodically come to the board.

Typically, though, we try to keep mass e-mail to a minimum. If you have something that you want to go to everyone, let me know. Something like the convention is definitely worth sending out to the full membership. We’re certainly not hiding anything – I don’t know of many multi-thousand member groups that let just anyone contact the entire organization.

I am even careful about the emails we send out about http://www.nachi.org/events.htm sending them to inspectors within the state their being held or contiguous states only (our national convention excepted).

In other words we don't email people in New Hampshire about events in Oregon.
