Im no electrical guru and do have some experience with doing home electrical but to me the electrical module seems super indepth for what Home inspectors and the SoP demands.
Yes i understand the SoP is the bare minimum but wow.
The residential electrical system in is probably the most misunderstood system in a home. IMO, the training barely scratches the surface of what you will encounter during an inspection.
You can never know too much about anything related to Home Inspections.
Knowledge of not only what a system does, but also of how it does it, is a very valuable tool. I’ve been doing home inspections for over 21 years, and I’m still learning.
Your superior knowledge will allow you to be confident in answering the myriad of questions you will encounter from agents and clients.
I needed some CE several yrs ago and even with over 35 yrs inspecting at that time I took the Electrical module. It was a good intro class … very basic, NOT heavily in-depth for the new guys.
