b) all plug outlets within 3m of a wash basin(except washing machine and dryer plug in a combined bath and laundry)

c) all carports

d)all outdoor plugs which are on the outside of the home or an attached garage and are within 2.5m of grade

e)after jan 1/03 the breakers supplying any plug outlet within 1m of the kitchen sink must be GFCI

2. As far as I know AFCI's are required in bedrooms in Canada

3. As far as I know existing aluminum wiring is permitted as long as it's appropriately sized for the circuit. I have come across knob and tube wiring where the aluminum wiring was exposed. It was still being used in parts of the house to supply light fixtures. The buyer also was unable to get insurance for the home unless he removed the knob and tube wiring.

4. No answer for this question.
