Anyone seen anything like this before?
(The electrical system is apparently shorting out on a regular basis!)
It was not intended as a sump pit, but as a containment pit to prevent spills from reaching the electrical equipment. Mother Nature appearantly has decided against that idea in regards to water intrusion.
What type of commercial structure was this?
I’ve only seen this in residential homes. 400A Zinsco service.
I have not, however, seen one installed in a “pit” like this.

The building is commercial - right now it is vacant, but has been a mixture of light commercial and retail in the past.
