Hi to all,

I have a history of breakers around here somewhere, I believe the first were manufactured a lot earlier than most people would realise.

If memory serves the first were 1906, but they were very uncommon in residential cnstruction until the late 1930's.

the picture is of a Trumbull panel which I believe comes from the late 30's or early 40's

The first breaker pannel I saw was in the Fifties and it looked pretty old it was a combination fuse breaker.

So you had double protection . It looked like about 40 breakers and 40 fuses.
