Emoticons are fluff.

I define fluff as unneccessary added crap that is just for show like big fat exhaust pipes and those stupid aluminum wings the ricers put on their cars. Or doing something to add curb appeal to a house with a crumbling foundation.

I hate fluff.

emoticons are not fluff Jim, often they are the only way to 'clarify' the word intent of the poster. Although I can see you are serious in your statement above you could also be seen as a jerk or moron with the same statement. By using emoticons you could easily have removed all doubt. ![icon_biggrin.gif](upload://iKNGSw3qcRIEmXySa8gItY6Gczg.gif) By using emoticons you can see I am just toying with you. Lighten up and have fun with the funny faces.

PS - I think ricing was supposed to be racing for those who want to jump on the racial bandwagon. Have a wonderful day all!

Lisa,

I don't know about your keyboard but on mine the "i" is a long way from the "a". I think he meant exactly what he wrote ![icon_wink.gif](upload://ssT9V5t45yjlgXqiFRXL04eXtqw.gif)

Great post Lisa.

“ricers” was a slur, just like “rice rocket”

Way to go Lisa.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with adding in emoticons to your post. I use them express my posts and to be funny at times.

If you like em, grab em. If you don't like them and think they're Fluff, so be it. You're entitled to your own opinion.

I think they can be very useful in a medium where you have only written words. It’s an easy way to make sure people know when you kidding. icon_biggrin.gif

I must say though, TIJ has a far better set.
