Is there a way that I am missing that which allows me to auto add the webinar on my calendar when clicking on the Link or open it to allow it to be save to the calendar?

Google+ Hangout Events are not auto-connected to your calendar. You have to enter the event into your calendar manually.

However, if you answer “Yes” to the question, “Are you going to watch?” you will be notified by Google automatically. Google Workspace Updates: New community features for Google Chat and an update on Currents
