I just completed a home inspection and found that there were issues with the grounding and voltage drop in several areas of the house. The homeowner(s) asked me to make the necessary corrections to bring the house up to code.
I inform the homeowner(s) that I am unable to make these corrections and I would suggest that they get a licensed electrical contractor to make the necessary corrections. I reported my findings to the client to ensure that they were aware of my findings so that a reasonable decision could be made. Filing an accurate report of all findings will ensure that this all of my clients and/or homeowners will understand that I will not violate my ethics.
