Thanks for the help. Still can’t figure out why this system is installed on the house when the water is from a well. If it was municiply supplied, then they would have no need for a water softener.

I am on Town water in Ontario and we need a water softener .
Last time I was in Manitoba they had very hard water in many places .

Jarrod, use of a water softner may still be neccessary even when on city water. Here in minneapolis our water is very hard…you’re not that far away. Also that link above mentioned a water meter…not a water softner. GL.
