Fire place flue goes into garage

I wanted to show a picture but didn’t no how. any way this is what I found on an inspection to day. the fire place flue vents into the garage is this normal? is this a concern? my thought is you have a car running in the garage and carbon monoxide going into the living room.

No, it may not vent to the Garage. It Must vent outside

It should be wrote up as a safety hazard. I would bet that there are more SH in this home.

If so the chimney had a blower motor on it to help heat the house. In these pictures the blower blows out the front and pulls air in through from the garage. The chimney in these pictures was failed because of the potential of sucking carbon monoxide in to the house from a running car in the garage
